Assistant Town Manager/ Director of Personnel
The Town of Londonderry, NH (pop. 25,000) is seeking qualified and experienced applicants for a full-time Assistant Town Manager/Director of Personnel. The qualified candidate will assist the Town Manager in daily operational duties, including but not limited to: represents the Manager in meetings with department heads, employees and residents as necessary, meets with members of various Boards and Commissions as assigned, assists with budgetary and annual meeting preparation, monitors relative legislation and recommends policy changes to the Town‘s municipal code, as well as performs other administrative functions as assigned by the Town Manager. The Assistant Town Manager/Director of Personnel is also responsible for assisting the Town Manager and Department Heads in all aspects of employee/personnel related matters (except benefits administration), candidate recruitment, employee training, as well as union contract administration.
Position may require occasional attendance at evening meetings. A four-year college degree is required; masters preferred. Must have at least 5-7 years of experience in HR/personnel/executive management. While public sector/municipal management is preferred, individuals with equivalent management experience and qualifications are encouraged to apply. Salary range: $75,000 – $95,000 commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits.
