The bill seeks to form a commission to study &#8216;growth, traffic, planning, and land use&#8217; in 10 town. Londonderry is one of the Town, why are no other Londonderry State Reps sponsoring this bill?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HOUSE BILL&nbsp;<strong><em>471<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AN ACT\u00a0establishing a commission to study issues related to growth, traffic, and planning and land use for certain towns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SPONSORS: Rep. Tenczar, Hills. 1<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>COMMITTEE: Municipal and County Government<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">ANALYSIS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This bill establishes a commission to study solutions for growth, traffic, planning, and land use and is composed of representatives from 10 specified towns.<br>Explanation: Matter added to current law appears in\u00a0<strong><em>bold italics.<\/em><\/strong><br>Matter removed from current law appears [<s>in brackets and struckthrough.<\/s>]<br>Matter which is either (a) all new or (b) repealed and reenacted appears in regular type.<br>25-0714<br>06\/05<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty Five<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AN ACT establishing a commission to study issues related to growth, traffic, and planning and land use for certain towns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1&nbsp;&nbsp;New Section; Study Commission. &nbsp;Amend RSA 672 by inserting after section 1 the following new section:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>672:1-a &nbsp;Commission Established. There is established a commission to study solutions for growth, traffic, planning, and land use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I. \u00a0The members of the commission shall be as follows:<br>(a) \u00a0One representative from each of the following towns:<br>(1) \u00a0Bedford,<br>(2) \u00a0Derry,<br>(3) \u00a0Goffstown,<br>(4) \u00a0Hooksett,<br>(5) \u00a0Hudson,<br>(6) \u00a0Litchfield,<br>(7) \u00a0Londonderry,<br>(8) \u00a0Merrimack,<br>(9) \u00a0Pelham, and<br>(10) \u00a0Windham.<br>(b) \u00a0Each representative may be a state representative, town council or select board member, or a planning board member.<br>II. \u00a0Representatives shall be appointed by the town manager, town administrator, town council, or select board of the respective town. \u00a0Appointments shall be made from volunteers who express interest in serving on the commission.<br>III. \u00a0Members of the commission shall receive mileage at the legislative rate when attending to the duties of the commission.<br>IV. \u00a0The commission shall share best practices and work on solutions to growth, traffic, planning, and land use issues. \u00a0The commission may meet as many times as necessary and end when the report is submitted.<br>V. \u00a0The members of the study commission shall elect a chairperson from among the members. \u00a0The first meeting of the commission shall be called by the representative from Bedford. \u00a0The first meeting of the commission shall be held within 45 days of the effective date of this section. \u00a0A majority of the commission members shall constitute a quorum.<br>VI. \u00a0The commission shall report its findings and any recommendations for proposed legislation to the speaker of the house of representatives, the president of the senate, the house clerk, the senate clerk, the governor, and the state library on or before November 1, 2026.<br>2 \u00a0Repeal. \u00a0RSA 672:1-a, relative to studying solutions for growth, traffic, planning, and land use, is repealed.<br>3 \u00a0Effective Date. \u00a0<br>I. \u00a0Section 2 of this act shall take effect November 1, 2026.<br>II. \u00a0The remainder of this act shall take effect upon its passage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Below is a bill (HB 471) submitted by Londonderry State Rep Ron Dunn and co sponsored by Londonderry State Rep Kristine Perez, as well as, Londonderry\/Windham State Rep Julius Soto.
