{"id":10552,"date":"2025-04-24T06:47:43","date_gmt":"2025-04-24T10:47:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/townunderground.com\/?p=10552"},"modified":"2025-04-24T06:48:04","modified_gmt":"2025-04-24T10:48:04","slug":"hb-273-parents-access-to-their-minor-childs-library-records","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/townunderground.com\/?p=10552","title":{"rendered":"HB 273 &#8211; Parent&#8217;s Access To Their Minor Child&#8217;s Library Records"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Senate Children and Family Law Committee will hold a hearing on <strong>April 24, 2025 10:20AM \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nhfamilyjustice.us22.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=5bd88207a95587d0ed8e9743e&amp;id=b884c5b0a1&amp;e=2b17fe9f84\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">HB 273 \u2013\u00a0relative to a parent\u2019s access to their minor child\u2019s library records.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AN ACT \u00a0relative to a parent&#8217;s access to their minor child&#8217;s library records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a><\/a>1 &nbsp;New Paragraph; Library User Records; Confidentiality; Access to Library Records of Minors. &nbsp;Amend RSA 201-D:11 by inserting after paragraph II the following new paragraph:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>II-a. &nbsp;All library records related to a minor&#8217;s current borrowing of printed library materials and audio-visual materials, such as DVDs and CDs, shall be available to the parent or legal guardian of the minor when requested by the parent or legal guardian whose address matches that on the minor&#8217;s library account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a><\/a>2 &nbsp;Effective Date. &nbsp;This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Submit public testimony in person or online\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/nhfamilyjustice.us22.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=5bd88207a95587d0ed8e9743e&amp;id=3f12b09844&amp;e=2b17fe9f84\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Senate Children and Family Law Committee will hold a hearing on April 24, 2025 10:20AM \u2013\u00a0HB 273 \u2013\u00a0relative to a parent\u2019s access to their minor child\u2019s library records.
