Badois recommended that the Town Council reevaluate the procedure for appointing individuals to various boards and commissions, specifically suggesting that boards be allowed to give input on applicants. She used the Conservation Commission as a key example, explaining that their previous process involved meeting with applicants before making recommendations to the council, which had been very effective. Badois noted that this successful practice ceased after the board was told applications were confidential and inaccessible to them. Furthermore, she asked the council to stop the practice of using appointments to the conservation commission as a “consolation prize” for those rejected from other boards, asserting that these individuals tend to leave quickly and waste valuable time. The Town Council did not respond to Badois request.

Below are this years applicants for board appointments.
