There has not been a minute when the School Board and administration were not working hard to bring education in Londonderry to the highest level. We have seen tremendous improvement in our classrooms district-wide, and this progress is a testament to our talented teachers, administrators, and support staff. This work needs to continue at a high level to reach our goals.

Below are some of the highlights I am most proud to have been part of since being elected. I want to thank the taxpayers, parents, board members, teachers, support staff, and administrators who made this progress possible:

Key Accomplishments:

• Returned $2.1 million to taxpayers over the last three years to help offset the tax rate. Implemented a new purchasing policy district wide which helped the board in putting forward a balanced budget in 2026 and proposing a budget for 2027 at 295k below default.

• Worked with the Superintendent to provide more frequent updates on educational performance and attendance.

• Engaged a third-party evaluation of our Special Education Program, resulting in a clear plan to restructure and improve services.

• Successfully negotiated new Teachers, Allied Health, and Custodians contracts for the next three years.

• Hired a K–5 Curriculum Coordinator, aligning all three elementary schools around shared goals—one of the most impactful improvements to date.

• Developed a District Facilities Master Plan to guide fiscally responsible planning and spending. This directly supported the successful infrastructure bond to update boilers at the high school, middle school, and South School.

• Created a Fields Study Committee to evaluate and plan for athletic field needs, ensuring the same thoughtful approach used for building facilities.

• Hired a new Business Administrator and HR Director.

• Conducted regular school visits to gather feedback from teachers, support staff, and administrators to inform district improvements.

• Served as a liaison between the School Board and the community by attending nearly every Town Council, Planning Board, and South School PTA meeting.

• Revitalized the Communications Committee, significantly improving communication between the district, parents, and the community.

• Updated the district’s Right-to-Know policy to improve transparency and allow for digital access to information.

• Strengthened collaboration between the School District and the Town, including forming a joint working group to plan rebuilding the district office near Town Hall, increasing parking, and eliminating leased property.

• Improved school security equipment and implemented district-wide ALICE training for staff and students to keep our schools safe.

• Partnered with a grant writer, resulting in four grants totaling over $400,000 in just the past year.

• Worked with state and local representatives and the Department of Education on building aid, special education funding, infrastructure funding, and school funding—while actively opposing legislation that would reduce funding or local control.

• Launched our Extended Learning Opportunities (ELO) program with the Londonderry Fire Department. Eight students participated, and the program’s success has led to expanding ELO/CTE opportunities district-wide. This includes transitioning the high school from four houses to three and creating a full-time Administrative Director of ELO/CTE—positioning Londonderry High School as a leader in the state.

I respectfully ask for your support for another three-year term as we continue pushing Londonderry to be the #1 school district in New Hampshire—both educationally and fiscally.

Sincerely,
Bob Slater

“Committed to excellence in education “

School Board Chairman Bob Slater announced he will be seeking reelection on his Bob Slater for Londonderry School Board Facebook page I am excited to announce that I have submitted my paperwork to run for another three-year term on the Londonderry School Board.
