{"id":2168,"date":"2023-01-12T20:02:06","date_gmt":"2023-01-13T00:02:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/townunderground.com\/?p=2168"},"modified":"2023-01-12T20:02:06","modified_gmt":"2023-01-13T00:02:06","slug":"londonderry-times-school-board-get-picture-of-possible-default-budget","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/townunderground.com\/?p=2168","title":{"rendered":"Londonderry Times: School Board Gets Picture of Possible Default Budget"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>During the Jan. 3 School Board meeting, Superintendent, Dan Black, presented to the School Board what would likely need to be cut if the default budget is passed this March.<br>Black explained that right now they\u2019re looking at less than a 2% increase between the operating budget and the warrant articles, but he noted they are nervous the operating budget may not be approved.<br>\u201cWe\u2019re nervous about that. We tried to limit the growth as much as possible,\u201d said Black.<br>Black said if the operating budget isn\u2019t approved they would have to make cuts to academics.<br>\u201cWe will need to cut into the academic program and we will need to cut into the co-curricular program. That\u2019s not something we take lightly.
