The school District is now selectively removing comments from the School District Facebook page<\/a>. An email asking for an explanation was sent to the School Board<\/a> and Superintendent Black<\/a>, both have declined to respond. The comments that have been deleted have concerned the re-election of School Board Chair Amy Finamore<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I will forward my response to the School Board.
The point of our Facebook page is to share information. The Communication Committee provides guidance to our overall communication plan and Facebook is one part of it. When they met in February – \u00a0since we had a number of responses to our posts that violated our rules \u2013 it was decided at this point it is easier to just now allow responses to posts in general to not create all the issues with comments that violate our rules. We do have some work to understand the legals(sic) issues of all this and when we have time we will be following up with legal counsel.<\/em><\/p>Superintendent Dan Black email 3\/6\/2023<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

I certainly do not find following up with legal counsel ‘when we have time’ acceptable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
