Minutes of May 4 2023 Kindergarten Committee
District Office 6A Kitty Hawk Landing<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Committee Members: Sandra Mack, Dan Black, Tony DeFrancesco, Donna Traynham, Amanda
Longo, Kevin Gray, Amanda Butcher, Barbara Curro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
School Board Members: Bob Slater<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Participants: Jason Parent, Cindy Taylor, Deb Paul, Glenn Douglas<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Group reviewed the draft version of the May 23rd 2023 presentation headed to the School
Board. The major pieces of feedback were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1) Quickly review the history of how we got to this point and some of the decisions from
other committees that led to being here. Have links to the older presentations at the end
for everyone to access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2) Update the pictures provided to more accurately reflect what is going on with them
around overcrowding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3) Make sure to point out the federal requirements for students with special services and
disabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4) Make sure to relay how all students in Moose Hill could benefit from the updates to the
building in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5) Make sure to talk about an ideal classroom setting that is not distractible like some of the
current settings at Moose Hill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
6) Have the QR Code Available at the end of the presentation to gather more feedback
from the community again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An updated version of the presentation will be made after the next meeting with the Architects
but before the May 23rd School Board meeting to release publicly with the new conceptual
designs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next Committee meeting will be at 4pm on May 25th 2023 in the District Office Conference
Room.
