LEGAL NOTICE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notice is hereby given that the Londonderry Town Council will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on November 20, 2023, in the Moose Hill Town Council Chambers, on the following proposed amendment to the Town Charter (bracketed text is deleted, bolded text is added):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shall the municipality approve the charter amendment reprinted and summarized below?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Section 5.7.     Treasurer<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There shall be a Town Treasurer (hereinafter called \u201cTreasurer\u201d) who shall have all the powers and duties granted by this Charter and state law. The Treasurer shall be [elected on an at-large basis to a term of three (3) years at the Town Election] appointed by the Town Council upon recommendation of the Town Manager for a one (1)-year term<\/strong>. Vacancies in the office of Treasurer shall be filled pursuant to state law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the amendment is adopted, the Town Treasurer shall be appointed by the Town Council instead of being elected. If the amendment is adopted, the elected Treasurer shall remain in office until the 2025 annual town election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
