Currently anyone who would like to comment on content posted on this site require Facebook. Commenting on posts was disabled long ago when the site transitioned to posting regularly on Facebook only.
It has recently been brought to me attention that some people commenting on the Facebook page are ‘blocking’ other users. Interestingly if a person blocks another user, not only can they not see the block user but the other user cannot see comments made by the person blocking.
It’s difficult to have an online discussion when 5 of the comments are only visible to some of those commenting.
I am considering reenabling commenting on this site, as I move back to posting the majority of the site content on the website and using Facebook, Twitter and YouTube as tools to share content only.
Enabling has a couple of feature that also allows users to follow content, such as comment and post notifications
For now this post is a bit of a test, as I work out the bugs of commenting.
