The Kent Allen Forest Clean-Up Project
Londonderry, New Hampshire
This past winter, with its mighty winds and snow, have brought many large trees in the Kent Allen Forest to the floor. There are several debris fields that need to be sawed, picked up, and piled for removal. Our Department of Public Works helps with this all of the time. We thank them so much!
Our small team or two to three people are in need of some extra helping hands to help us clean up the woods so that we can all enjoy our much-loved space in time for spring and summer! We are in need of people who can bring and use their own chain saws, fuel, and bring their own pickup trucks so we can take care of the downed trees and all of the debris. We are also seeking people who want to pick up and pile branches and sticks, and also to help clean out bushes, etc., that are packed full with leaves.
We will be holding a “Clean Up the Woods Weekend” event this weekend, on Saturday, April 29th, WITH A RAIN DATE OF Sunday, April 30th. We will be cleaning up from 9 AM until 12 PM.
We ask for you to please bring your own bug spray, tick spray, proper shoes, gloves, clippers, and/or rakes. We will supply water, coffee, and assorted refreshments as a token of our appreciation.
Children are very welcome if you would like to come as a family. Little hands make big work. If you would like to participate, please RSVP to Meredith Allen at (603) 568-6249 by Friday the latest.
