At the Heritage/Historic District Commission meeting Richard Flier presented the commission with the challenges he faces in renting, leaseing or selling 2 Litchfield Road. In 2003 deed restrictions were added to preserve the property. Flier claims the restrictions make the property financially unviable. Flier had previously proposed a bank to the Planning Board, that plan was denied. The property was previously rented by the Londonderry Democrat Party, but currently has no tenant. Flier has worked with the Town Manager over the last few months seeking a solution to the deed restrictions. The commission ultimately made a unanimous motion to move the issue to the Town Council.
Motion: Direct the Town Manager to work with Town Council and town attorney to make necessary changes to the easement to make the property commercially viable.
