Tim Porter announced today in a Facebook post that he will be seeking election to the school board
I’m writing to let everyone know I have decided to run for a seat on the Londonderry School Board in the election taking place on March 14, 2023. Following a tumultuous period leading up to last year’s election, much of the district turmoil has thankfully subsided and the new district administrative leadership seems to be moving the district in a better direction.
As I promised after the results of the election last Spring, I have stayed fully engaged in the school board’s activities. I have attended, in person, nearly every meeting. When I find it necessary to seek clarification on school board matters, I approach the board members and district employees reasonably and respectfully.
I have an extensive background as a board-certified financial planner, 20+ years addressing tax and legal matters, and decades of experience prudently managing the life savings of families and assets of small businesses. I feel this makes me well-suited to handle the stewardship of the many millions of taxpayer dollars we provide our schools each year.
I will also do so having the vested interest of providing the highest quality education to not only my own three young children, but to all of the children of our district. As a product of these very same schools myself, it’s a personal point of pride to see our school district function efficiently and support our employees in their efforts to turn out the best-educated and most well-equipped students to take on the challenges of their future.
I, once again, would appreciate your consideration and support for me and hope to earn your vote in March.
Sincerely, Tim Porter
