Today I posted the following on the TU Facebook page.

There were several responses on in particular was:
And what brave soul decided to lob this resignation demand from behind the safety of an anonymous post? ![]()
I don’t have a dog in this fight—and frankly, it looks like there’s a lot more going on beneath the surface than any single post lets on. But here’s the thing: if you’re calling for someone to resign from public service, the bare minimum is having the spine to sign your name.
My preference? Let the debate play out in the open, through the public forums and board meetings we have for precisely this reason—not through anonymous FB posts trying to manufacture outrage and stage-manage a coup from the cheap seats.
I was planning on following up with a website post, but here is my response:
It’s no secret there is one admin on this page, Glenn Douglas, so the ‘spinless’ post is mine. There are plenty of people who claim to have ‘no dog in the fight’ but they are spending a lot of time working behind the scenes. The Londonderry Democrat and Republican committees both discussed the Library Trustees this at their last meetings. So much for non-partisan.
There is a lot going on behind the scenes. Last night Town Council meeting seems to be proof of that. The three Library Trustee alternate appointments were addressed as a non agenda item, in my opinion in an attempt to push through candidates that were rushed through on Saturday. Those position were not posted which was requested by the Trustees until they reversed course last Saturday.
The chair has been warned multiple time about 91A violations, yet continues to break the RSA. The chair refused to supply meeting minutes when asked and had minutes removed from the Town website. She is unable to run an efficient meeting, often repeating herself or contradiction her statements made only minutes earlier.
I did not ask for the chairs resignation from the board, I asked that she step down from the chair position, a position that she has demonstrated she clearly is not qualified for.
This is not playing out in public, it’s being manipulated behind the scenes, there is no ‘manufactured outrage’ the process is not being followed, by laws have been ignored.
Both side of this equation need to change, right now it’s just getting worse due to poor leadership.
