The Town Council held a special meeting on 1/14/2025 to approve 5 Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA’s / Union Contracts). There was no public comment permitted at the meeting. All contracts were approved and will be discussed at the 2/8/2025 Town Deliberative Session a final vote by residents will be held on 3/11/2024. All the agreements have the following common denominators: All are 3 year contracts, the Town will continues to pay 100% of the employees health insurance premium in years 1 and 2. In year 3 there will be a cost sharing where the employees will pay 5% and the town will pay 95% of the premium. The one exception is TAP who currently cost share with a 96% / 4% split. There were no changes to HSA plans. Three is an increase in the health insurance opt-out $5,000 for an employee, $10,000 for 2 person coverage, and $12,000 for family coverage. Current levels of paid sick, vacation, and holiday pay have been maintained. Bereavement leave has been expanded to include additional family members. The CBA’s are listed below:
1. Approval of Tentative Collective Bargaining Agreement with the AFSCME Local 1801 – Agreement includes Department of Public Works (DPW) and Town Office Staff; department assistants, town clerks, custodians and facility managers for LPD.
