t’s a official !
I am excited to announce my candidacy for a three-year seat on the Londonderry Town Council.
It has been a couple of years since I last served on the board, and during that time, I have observed many concerning issues regarding the direction our town is heading. As the publisher of our local free weekly newspaper, I have spent the last 25 years delivering news to residents and I’ve witnessed a great many changes in our community. While some of these changes have been positive, many have resulted in unmanaged growth. I believe that developers from other states should not be allowed to continue to diminish the rural character of Londonderry and I will try to work to correct that issue.
Furthermore, I am a strong advocate for transparency in our town government. I believe that information about town spending and public documents should be easily accessible to all residents. It should not require legal action for officials to provide these documents, as has been the case in the past.
I am running against an incumbent who has served on the Town Council for over a decade, during which our community has experienced three different Town Managers, two interim Town Managers, four fire chiefs, and several Town Planners. In addition, we are facing two major planned unit developments that are contributing to traffic and infrastructure issues that remain unresolved. This has created significant challenges for our residents.
I respectfully ask for your vote for change and common sense on March 11.
Please vote for Deb Paul for Town Council.
