I had posted about undervotes on the Facebook Page earlier today. I found it interesting that a out of 4,662 ballots cast a number of people chose not to vote for a Town Councilor or School Board member. There were other undervotes for other positions as well.
An “undervote” on a New Hampshire ballot means that a voter left a race blank—they did not select a candidate or option for that specific contest. The rest of the ballot can still be counted normally.
In this case the option was ‘select two’ for Town Council and School Board so an undervote would be a resident that did not vote for any candidate or voted for only one candidate.

That speaks volumes. Hopefully both the Town Council and School board look at that long and hard.
