Town Council Meeting 8/3/2026 The Londonderry Town Council voted to delay the adoption of its fiscal year 2027-2029 strategic plan until the spring of 2027. The town manager recommended this pause because the council lacks a durable consensus on the plan’s scope and the current draft no longer aligns with the upcoming budget cycle. While some officials expressed frustration over the perceived lack of progress, the administration emphasized that this is a strategic postponement rather than an abandonment of the work. Current initiatives, such as digital permitting and public safety preparedness, will continue under existing authorities while the plan is refined. The goal is to return in early 2027 with a more concise framework that can effectively guide the development of the 2029 budget. Consequently, the public hearing originally scheduled for August 17 has been canceled.
