11/2/2026 – The Londonderry Department of Public Works is actively developing a comprehensive master plan to construct a modern, efficient facility by April 2028 that will resolve severe safety hazards and protect millions of dollars in equipment currently left exposed to harsh weather. To achieve this, the town has partnered with PMA Consultants as the owner’s project manager and Weston and Samson as the architectural and engineering firm, utilizing a dedicated working group to ensure broad community input and fiscal responsibility. The project addresses critical infrastructure deficiencies, including poor site drainage, moldy storage trailers, and inadequate employee workspaces, by designing phased improvements for vehicle maintenance, secure storage, and improved salt and sand management. Through careful budget planning, public outreach, and specialized expertise, the team aims to deliver a long-term solution that maximizes taxpayer value while significantly improving daily operations for DPW staff.
