For Immediate Release: Police Investigating Hampshire First Bank Robbery

Londonderry Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today at about 12:45 p.m. Employees at Hampshire First Bank, located at 68 Nashua Road, reported that a white male, age 40-50, height about 6-3, weighing about 300 pounds and wearing a brown tee-shirt, light blue jeans and white shoes with blue markings, robbed the bank at gunpoint. The suspect demanded money and then fled the scene on foot. A witness soon after saw a newer model, black Volkswagen sedan with Massachusetts plates leaving the area at a high rate of speed, however it is not known if this was related to the robbery. Responding patrol officers and detectives searched the area but the suspect was not found. No one was injured at the bank.

We are not disclosing the amount of cash stolen at this time.
The robbery remains under investigation by Londonderry detectives.
