Town Press Release:
The Londonderry Town Council is pleased to announce that Recreation Director Art Psaledas has been appointed as Acting Town Manager.
Town Manager Michael J. Malaguti previously announced his resignation, and he and the Town Council have mutually agreed upon a separation date of December 2, 2024. At 12:00 a.m. on December 3, Art Psaledas will assume the position of Acting Town Manager. According to Section 4.5 of the Londonderry Town Charter, the Acting Town Manager appointment is for a period of 120 days.
Psaledas has been employed by the Londonderry School District and the Town of Londonderry for more than 43 years.
I cannot believe Art Psaledas is the interim town manager. So- is the town paying out Malaguti for his 6 ‘months and paying Art how much money? He isn’t qualified for this job. He’s not qualified to be the recreation manager. He wasn’t qualified to be the athletic director. Is there anyone in our town that understands how to hire qualified people? We need a better management system in this town.
