Article 18 which passed on 3/12/2024 with a vote of 3,085 for and 1,077 against the article. Article 18 would added public comment to the beginning and end all public meetings in Town.

Did the boards and committees in town implement Article 18?
Reviewing agendas the implementation of Article 18 is poor at best. Only 3 boards added two sessions for public comment. 13 boards do not allow public comment, or do not have it as part of their agenda. Although Article 18 was amended at the Deliberative Session to be ‘Advisory Only’ the residents came out and voted, board committee chairpersons clearly did not listen.
