Submitted by Dan Bouchard candidate for Town Council
Dear Londonderry Residents,
My name is Dan Bouchard, and I am honored to announce my candidacy for Town Council. Londonderry has been my home since 1979, where my wife and I raised our two sons-both of whom live and work here today. Now, as a proud grandfather of six, I am deeply invested in the future of our town.
After serving Londonderry for 28 years as a police officer, I remain committed to giving back to the community that has given me so much. As the town’s first and only school resource officer, I worked with students at all levels-elementary, middle, and high school-developing critical programs on school bus safety, bike safety, and personal security. I also created a Women’s Safety Program and led the fundraising and construction of the Thunder Ground playground at North School.
Beyond law enforcement, I have served on the town’s Budget Committee for three years, was honored as New Hampshire’s Outstanding Young Police Officer, served on the board at the Alexander Eastman Foundation and was elected President of the New Hampshire DARE Officers Association. As a longtime business owner and former landscaping company operator, I understand the challenges of running a successful enterprise and the importance of supporting both residents and businesses in our community.
I regularly attend Town Council meetings and budget hearings and have a deep appreciation for the work our town employees do every day. With Londonderry facing ongoing challenges-growth, traffic, water quality, and increased service demands-I believe my experience, leadership, and dedication can help us navigate these issues while preserving the character of our town.
I am committed to listening, researching, and making informed decisions that best serve Londonderry. I humbly ask for your support and your vote on March 11 to continue working for the community we all love.
Thank you.
Dan Bouchard
