School Board member Tim Porter announced he will be seeking reelection on his Tim Porter for Londonderry School Board Facebook page
Today I have filed to run for reelection for my seat on the Londonderry School Board on Tuesday, March 10th 2026. As a Board member, I have worked diligently to ensure that I am keeping the best interests of our taxpayers and our children in mind as we make extremely impactful financial and policy decisions for the Londonderry School District. Working as a School Board member requires the ability to work well collaboratively with the other Board members and the district administration in order to be productive and I believe I have shown the ability to do so throughout my first term.
Together over the past three years, we have tackled numerous issues to try and make long-term changes for the betterment of the district both culturally and financially. We completely revamped the district’s purchasing policy which had previously allowed for essentially unchecked spending of almost six figures at a time without competitive bidding or approval. Now, because of the work of the School Board making changes, we have fostered an environment of competition and accountability with expenditures that has saved and will save our taxpayers countless sums of money. We also have ensured that we have a welcoming approach to the town allowing for much more open feedback from the voters both during meetings as well as making ourselves available on a personal basis whenever an individual or group has concerns. As a Board, we do not always unanimously agree on all issues but we do uphold respect for one another and work towards compromise at all times.
With regard to my professional background and areas of expertise, I am a certified financial planner, an owner of financial and tax practices, and I have spent 24 years helping manage the life savings of families and implementing and organizing retirement plans for small businesses. These qualifications make me an appropriate selection for an individual who is responsible for helping manage the tens of millions of tax dollars that our town contributes to our school system each year.
I have been proud to represent the town in which I was raised and in which I am raising my three children. I am a product of the Londonderry School District and it has been extremely gratifying to be a part of providing the best possible education to our children while ensuring that we make the most financially prudent decisions possible.
