Kent Bachir for Londonderry School Board
Excited to announce I’m running for Londonderry School Board on March 10th.
Londonderry has incredible teachers, talented students, and a community that shows up. So why does it feel like important decisions are made without clear answers for the community?
The School Board carries significant responsibility. It sets priorities, culture, and oversees a $94M annual operating budget that affects thousands of students and every taxpayer in town. Decisions at that level should be clear, well-reasoned, and tied to defined goals.
So when a parent takes time away from putting their kids to bed to attend a School Board meeting and ask informed, intelligent questions, they deserve an answer. A real answer.
Answers to how your tax dollars are providing comparable benefits to similar towns that pay similar taxes. Answers to how to better attract and keep our dedicated teachers and staff. Answers to how we can better listen to the wants and needs of our community, track and visualize goals, create public enthusiasm, maintain simple accountability, and drive successful outcomes.
Right now, those answers aren’t clear enough. That’s why I’m running.
I’m Kent Bachir, and I’m asking for your vote for Londonderry School Board on March 10th.
HERE’S WHAT I’LL DO
Publish written district goals with deadlines and names attached. Every resident will be able to see what the Board is working on, when it is due, and hold us to it. I will bring Transparency and Accountability.
I will answer your questions. When a resident asks the Board a question, they will get a real answer, not a pivot, not a deferral, not a “we’ll look into it.” I will ask you for information to educate the Board, connect you to resources, track gaps, and drive closure.
WHY ME
I’m an Engineering Leader who has spent a career making complex systems work faster, leaner, and more reliably. I’ve managed budgets larger than the district’s $94M operating budget as a Professional Project Manager. I know how to set goals, track progress, and hold teams accountable because that’s what I do every day.
More importantly, I’m a father of three young girls in Londonderry schools. I’m running because I sit at the same kitchen tables you do, and some of those answers are missing.
THE JOB
Londonderry is fortunate to have residents who care about their schools and the future of the town. However, when voters enter the voting booth, the question is simple:
Who will deliver results?
Who will approach the role thoughtfully, work within the resources available, get things done, and follow through on commitments? That’s how I approach my work every day, and it’s the mindset I’ll bring to the School Board.
Londonderry voters are speaking. I am listening.
