The Town Manager for Londonderry is responsible for the administrative and financial affairs of the Town, overseeing the day-to-day operations by managing all Town departments with a workforce of more than 200 employees, and implementing policies established by a five-member Town Council.

Recreation Director Art Psaledas has been serving as Acting Town Manager since December 3, 2024. According to Section 4.5 of the Londonderry Town Charter, the Acting Town Manager appointment is for a period of up to 120 days with an option for renewal.

The Town of Londonderry, NH is seeking an effective leader with a proven record of innovative, professional management experience to serve as its Town Manager. The Town Manager is responsible for the administrative and financial affairs of the Town, overseeing the day-to-day operations by managing all departments, and implementing policies established by a five-member Town Council. The Town Manager will engage with stakeholders and the community to foster positive relationships.
The Town Manager oversees a $44M annual budget and a workforce of over 200, most of whom are covered by seven collective bargaining agreements. With a population of over 26,000, Londonderry is located in Rockingham County in southern New Hampshire, approximately 40 minutes northwest of Boston.
Londonderry continues to attract state-of-the art industry including companies such as Tesla, Stonyfield Farms, and New Balance. Londonderry is also home to Manchester–Boston Regional Airport. Londonderry is well known for its apple orchards, highly rated school system, and bucolic setting. Also located in Londonderry is Woodmont Commons, an 80 square acre mixed-use development where residents can live, work and play.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to effectively promote organizational excellence and exceptional community services; outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; and a high level of ethics and integrity. Ten years of relevant senior management experience and bachelor’s degree in public administration or a related field required. MPA or related advanced degree strongly preferred. Residency requirement: The Town Manager need not be a resident of the Town or State of NH at the time of appointment but may reside outside the Town while in office with the approval of four members of the Council.
The starting salary range for the position is $150,000 – $180,000. The position is eligible for participation in the Town’s robust benefits programs including medical, dental, disability, and life insurance plans as well as several well-being programs.
