Former Town Councilor John Farrell has applied for an open position on the Planning Board. Farrell is one of nine candidates interested in serving on the board.

Farrell had previously served on the Planning Board before running for Town Council in 2010. During his term on the council Farrell was opposed to reinstating Impact Fees. As a Planning Board member Farrell took part in the creating of the first Planned Unit Development that led to the approval of Woodmont Commons. As part of a task-force Farrell was aware of the pending sale of Woodmont Orchards prior to the final approval of the PUD.
The Town Council is scheduled to interview applicants at their 11/17/2025 meeting.
