The Londonderry Historical Society recently featured on the Londonderry View community television program to advocate for the preservation of New Hampshire’s local heritage. Established to protect the town’s rural character, the organization manages a two-acre site containing several eighteenth-century structures, including a historic house, a blacksmith shop, and a unique barn. During the interview, representatives displayed significant artifacts such as Civil War correspondence, specialized glass bottles from a local lithia spring, and samples of authentic colonial linen. The society is currently seeking new members and donations to maintain these assets and fund educational events like monthly open houses and historical tours. By sharing stories of past residents and industries, the group aims to ensure the next generation understands and appreciates the community’s lengthy evolution since 1719.
