My name is Amanda Longo, and I would love nothing more than to serve as your Town Clerk.
For the past decade, my family and I have called Londonderry our home, and each day has been filled with gratitude for the warmth and support of our friends and neighbors. As my husband transitioned from his military service, we chose Londonderry because of its unparalleled sense of community. And now, I am honored to have the opportunity to give back to the place that has given us so much.
The role of Town Clerk is not about partisanship; it’s about being a steadfast guardian of our records and ensuring the integrity of our elections. It’s about being a reliable resource for every member of our community, from residents to businesses to elected officials. I run for this position not as a seasoned politician, but as a passionate member of this community.
Town Clerk is an elected position – not because the role is intended for an expert – but rather intended for a member of the community to serve. I am driven to serve something beyond myself and for my impact to reach far and wide. My experience as a Human Resource Consultant for small businesses has honed my skills in organization, multitasking, and above all, service to others. I am detail oriented, resourceful, and organized. I understand the importance of prioritization and adaptability. I also worked in the Town offices for several years processing payroll, and in that time, I had the opportunity to witness the dedication and hard work it takes to be a Town Clerk.
I do promise to approach this role with humility, openness, and an unwavering commitment to service. I believe that true leadership is not about having all the solutions, but about having the heart to listen, learn, and adapt in order to act in the best interests of our community. The New Hampshire Municipal Association puts it best when they say, the Town Clerk is the “information booth” addressing concerns and answering a variety of questions. I want to be that resource for our community.
So, I humbly ask for your support, not just for me, but for the vision of a town where every voice is heard, every question is answered, and every citizen is valued. Please vote at our election on March 12th from 6AM to 8PM held at the Londonderry High School Gymnasium.
