HB 1002, a bill to charge fees for access to public information becomes law on August 13, 2024. Londonderry appears to be setting fees in advance of the new law.

A Resolution Relative to
Establishing a Fee Schedule for Photocopying and Scanning
WHEREAS the Town of Londonderry adheres to the legal requirements established by RSA 91-A:4 in regards to minutes and governmental records available for public inspection; and,
WHEREAS citizens of Londonderry are able to access and review many Town records online and in electronic form at no cost; and,
WHEREAS both the act of creating digital copies of physical records on request and providing copies of governmental records is an expense to the taxpayers; and,
WHEREAS citizens pay for many of the services they receive from the Town such as sewer, permits, etc;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Londonderry that the Council delegates to the Town Manager the authority to establish a fee schedule for photocopying and scanning, subject to review and adjustment each fiscal year.
PHOTOCOPYING & SCANNING FEE SCHEDULE
Fiscal Year 2025
Printing & Photocopying:
B&W documents up to 8.5×11* $0.50 per page for the first ten (10) pages of a document; $.10 per page thereafter
B&W documents larger than 8.5×11 $1.00 per page
Color documents up to 8.5×11* $1.00 per page for the first ten (10) pages of a document; $.25 per page thereafter
Color documents larger than 8.5×11 $2.00 per page
Scanning**
Documents up to 11×14* $0.50 per page for the first ten (10) pages of a document; $.10 per page thereafter
Documents larger than 11×14 $2.00 per page
*Please note that the charge is per document and not per request. For example, if a person requests black-and-white copies of a 20-page document and a 10-page document, the charge would be $11.00; $6.00 for the first one ($.50 x 10 plus $.10 x 10) and $5.00 for the second one.
**Scanned documents must be delivered via email, Dropbox, or a Town-supplied flash drive (provided at cost). Absolutely no personal external storage devices are permitted to be connected to Town computers.
