Today marks the first day of the filing period for the March 11th Town Election, and with a full and grateful heart, I want to share an important decision. After much prayer and reflection, I have decided not to seek re-election to the Londonderry Town Council. This decision comes not from a place of weakness but from strength, rooted in my faith, my family, and the incredible honor it has been to serve our community.
Serving Londonderry has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. Over the past six years, I have had the honor of serving three years on the Budget Committee and three years on the Town Council. Throughout this time, I have worked tirelessly to put the needs of our community first. This journey has brought immense personal growth, lifelong friendships, and invaluable lessons. It has been a journey of highs and challenges, but through it all, I have been guided by my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His love, grace, wisdom, discernment, and countless other blessings have sustained me through the pressures and joys of leadership.
I could not have fulfilled this role without the unwavering support of my wife, who has been the cornerstone of our family. Whether I was in late-night meetings or navigating the demands of this position, she has selflessly carried our home with strength and grace. She has been my sounding board, my encourager, and my constant source of strength when the pressures of public service felt overwhelming.
As I reflect on this decision, I also think of my three beautiful children. They are growing up faster than I ever imagined, and I want to be present for the moments that matter most—whether it’s building a bracelet with my youngest daughter, working on a LEGO set or playing catch with my son, or having heartfelt conversations with my teenage daughter about life. These precious moments are fleeting, and I choose to prioritize them now.
The community will select its next leadership during the March 11th election. While we may not yet know who those individuals will be, I encourage the community to truly vet the leaders they choose. It is vital that our future leaders be individuals who embody service above self, act with honesty and integrity, and genuinely prioritize the best interests of the community. Leadership requires not only a deep love for Londonderry but also the character to make tough decisions with fairness and transparency. I trust that the people of Londonderry will choose leaders who will continue to build on the strong foundation we have worked together to create and will serve this community with the same dedication and heart.
While I will not seek re-election, I am fully committed to completing my term with the same dedication, integrity, and principles that have guided me throughout my time in office. It has been a privilege to serve this community, and I remain focused on fulfilling my responsibilities with the care and diligence our town deserves.
I will forever keep the residents, employees, and taxpayers of Londonderry in my prayers and thoughts. My faith, family, and service have always been the core of who I am. While I will no longer serve on the Town Council at this time, my love and commitment to this community remain steadfast. I look forward to continuing to serve Londonderry in different ways and finding new opportunities to give back.
Thank you to the people of Londonderry for the overwhelming support, trust, and encouragement you have shown me over the years. It has been an honor and privilege to serve you, and I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity. This decision was not an easy one, but it is the right one for me and my family. I look forward to the future with hope and excitement for the next chapter.
